As a family run business, our emphasis is on seeing each individual progress and benefit from their Kung Fu training
One Big Kung Fu Family
We are passionate about the benefits of Wing Chun Kung Fu which is a Chinese martial art and a complete system . Over the last 20 years, we have gained a reputation for bringing together students of all ages and from all walks of life and teaching them a life skill of self defence in an environment which is stimulating, engaging, encouraging and inclusive whilst also being structured and disciplined.
We think of our school as one big Kung Fu family and regularly hold events such as seminars, socials, cinema trips and our annual Summer Fun Day.
As a family run business, our emphasis is on seeing each individual progress and benefit from their Kung Fu training. We also love to celebrate our students’ achievements and organise quarterly graduations for our younger students and their families.
We also like to show our community how amazing our students are and take part in a number of festivals and carnivals.
We have a proven track record with children with learning and behavioural difficulties. In some cases, children who have been diagnosed with conditions such as ADHD and Aspergers have been reviewed after attending our classes as their progress has been so positive.
We have a dedicated team of instructors who have been learning the art of Wing Chun for many years. As well as being experts in Wing Chun, they attend regular training to develop their teaching skills and are all DBS checked and First Aid qualified.
We are passionate about creating opportunities for our students to develop their kung fu and have created a STORM team (Special Team of Role Models) for our younger students to aspire to. From this team, we develop some to become Junior Apprentices who will one day become fully qualified instructors.
Chris first started his training in Wing Chun Kung Fu in 1997 having been first introduced to the martial arts by a friend who trained in Nam Pai Chuan 3 years earlier. He quickly became enthusiastic about the art due to it’s versatility and effectiveness. Chris was soon devoting 20 hours + per week to his training and his level improved rapidly. He had the honour of training with some of the best martial artists in the world.
His love of Wing Chun and his natural ability to teach others led to him being asked to open a class in Worthing, his home town.
Chris has had the privilege of training under Grand Master Keith Kernspecht who is the only private student of Great Grand Master Leung Ting who was chosen by Grand Master Ip Man (the last undisputed Grand Master of the Wing Chun system) to take over his mantle. One of the highlights of Chris’s Wing Chun journey was training with Great Grand Master Leung Ting when he visited the UK in 2001.
My boys have been members of this wonderful club for over 7 years. Sifu Chris is amazing, he is kind, patient and funny, as well as being a very experienced instructor.
Amazing ! I took my son to another martial arts group before this one and after 3 weeks of 2 lessons a week I couldn’t get him off my knee but with this school after a min he was joining in and by the end of the lesson I couldn’t get him to leave !
My little boy joined a month ago and loves little dragons so much. All of the team are so professional and brilliant with the children.
